My Background
I attained my business degree from San Diego State, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Distinction in Management. For 23 years, I managed large-scale projects in the corporate and non-profit sectors before completing my coursework for the UCLA Certificate Program in College Admissions Consulting. In 2007, I began assisting students with the college admissions process in my downtown Danville location and I led application and essay writing work sessions for a local test prep company, Ames Seminars. Prior to that, I coordinated and administered STAR testing and the High School Exit Exam for San Ramon Valley High School for three years and assisted with AP Testing, Academic Boosters and Career Center activities. I am a member of Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), Western Association of College Admissions Advisors (WACAC) and two Bay Area independent counselor consortia.
My husband, Jim, and I live in Danville and have two daughters who graduated from University of Oregon and Lewis and Clark. Their experiences gave me an appreciation of a Pac-12 major research university as well a small liberal arts college. My girls thrived in their respective educational environments and I truly realized the importance of a good fit school. I look forward to bringing this perspective to my clients. |
